Dr.Link® SPECIAL DIET Cardiac and renal insufficiency is premium complete diet food for adult cats.  It is specially developed premium diet for cats suffering from cardiac or renal insufficiency. Made from high-qualityanimal proteins with a particularly high biological value and balanced nutrientcomponents.  And helps to avoid unnecessary stress on the heart and kidneys. There are fewer toxins that could otherwise damage other organ systems.

Indication(areas of application):

Support of kidney function in chronic kidney failure, support of heart function inacute or chronic heart failure

Aims of the diet:

Inold age there are often permanent and progressive functional restrictions dueto damage or inflammation of the kidney tissue and diseases of the cardiovascular system. In this case, the goal of therapy is usually to lowerthe systemic blood pressure in order to stop or at least slow down the progression of the damage to the functional units and thus increase the well-being of the patient.

**Note:This product is not suitable for kittens , adult cats during pregnancy andlactation and adult cats with pancreatites, and hyperlipidemia.**

Furtherinformation on the duration of feeding:

Inthe case of acute, reversible cardiac or renal insufficiency, the feed can initially be fed for 2 to 4 weeks until the general condition and the laboratory values are within the normal range. In the case of chronic cardiacor renal insufficiency, food for this particular nutritional purpose should beadministered lifelong in order to slow down the progression of kidney damage,to counteract azotemia and to control mineral imbalances and to relieve the cardiovascular system.
